Dietary supplement — not a treatment for erectile dysfunction

What is in EreFil?

Seven ingredients, ordered by how much evidence stands behind them rather than by label order. Amounts are not published for this product.

01

Tongkat Ali

Eurycoma longifolia

The best-supported ingredient here. A Southeast Asian root traditionally used for male vitality, studied in humans for testosterone-related outcomes, fatigue and exercise performance. Reported effects are modest, and trials run over weeks rather than days — this is not a fast-acting ingredient.

May not suit anyone with a hormone-sensitive condition. This category has a documented adulteration problem, so official purchase channels matter.
02

Saw Palmetto

Serenoa repens

Berry extract acting on androgen metabolism via 5-alpha-reductase, with a long history in prostate and urinary support. Well studied, though several large trials found little benefit over placebo for urinary symptoms, so the honest summary is mixed rather than positive.

Same pathway as finasteride and dutasteride — do not combine without medical advice. Evidence on PSA suppression is mixed, so tell your doctor you take it before any prostate screening. May increase bleeding risk with anticoagulants.
03

Horny Goat Weed

Epimedium sagittatum

Its active compound icariin acts on PDE5, the same enzyme targeted by prescription ED medication, and is associated with nitric oxide activity. A genuine mechanism, but supported mainly by animal and laboratory work; human trials are limited and product potency varies widely.

The most interaction-heavy ingredient in this formula. May interact with sildenafil and tadalafil, nitrates, blood pressure medication and blood thinners. Documented to affect CYP3A4, which processes many prescription drugs. Not suitable with heart disease or low blood pressure without medical advice. The FDA has recalled products in this category for containing undeclared sildenafil.
04

Nettle Leaf

Urtica dioica

Provides nutrients and bioactive compounds, with traditional use in prostate and urinary support. Frequently paired with saw palmetto in European herbal preparations. Research is modest but real.

Diuretic effect — take advice if you use diuretics or blood pressure medication. May affect blood sugar and lithium levels.
05

Boron

Amino acid chelate

A trace mineral with some evidence relating to testosterone metabolism, bone health and calcium and magnesium handling. Typical dietary intake runs to a few milligrams a day.

Boron has an established tolerable upper intake level and excess causes nausea and other effects. Because the amount here is not published, avoid stacking it with other boron-containing supplements.
06

Sarsaparilla

Smilax glabra

A traditional root used historically as a tonic across several herbal systems. It appears in male wellness blends largely by convention, and modern human evidence for the outcomes claimed in this category is thin. Reasonable to treat it as a supporting inclusion rather than an active driver.

07

Wild Yam

Dioscorea villosa

Contains diosgenin, which laboratories use as a chemical starting point for manufacturing steroid hormones. The human body does not perform that conversion. Wild yam is widely marketed as a natural hormone precursor and that description does not survive contact with the evidence. A traditional botanical inclusion, not a hormonal ingredient.
